Did you open a command window and use dir or ls to see the files on said drive? Apple's file view may hide extra things. Here's a handy tutorial if you didn't try this.
What does ls -a show for that drive?
Bought this UN28H4500 TV for the sole purpose of presenting a slideshow tomorrow morning.
Have exported the jpgs onto the flash drive from Aperture.
On my computer, it shows that no hidden files are on the flash drive. However, inserted into the TV, for each photo that it will play (named "IMG_0001" for instance) , the TV detects an ADDITIONAL file which it will NOT PLAY (named "._IMG_0001" for instance).
These additional files are all detected as jpgs, are all 4.00KB, and are all dated today (as opposed to the good files which are dated the day they were taken). The slideshow insists on TRYING to play them.
And since they don't come up even as hidden files when the flash drive is in my computer, I have no way to get rid of them or put them in a separate folder.
Thank you so much!
