And use wireless only.
It is recommended that you only use one connection (Hardwired or Wireless)
Yes.. wireless connection is susceptible to interference, such as, Location, Distance, Walls (in between your PC and Accesspoint), Other wireless devices, Cordless phone, Microwave, baby monitor, electrical/power line, etc.
Beside, of course the device condition itself (defect or incompatibility etc.)
Today I purchased and installed a Netgear 108 mbps wireless (WGT624)router. Followed instructions on cd - everything seemed to install properly on my WinXP desktop system. My desktop is still wired (cable modem to router to computer via ethernet cables). However, my desktop connection to the internet has slowed to an absolute crawl. Before, pages loaded blazingly fast - now it can take up to 30 seconds or more for a page to load. What happened? Can this be fixed or is this a common symptom of adding a wireless connection? I'll forego wireless for a return to my fast connection. Thank you.
