Help Please..Flip UltraHD Problem

I have just bought the Flip ultraHD Camera
i tried to turned it on using an external battery "energizer" it turned on for about 2 sec then this messege appears "Its too Hot..Need to cool down"
i tried then charging the battery after it charged i tried to turned it on again...the same problem...
i even turned on the AC , put it for a minute in the freezer ..nothing seems to work..Sad

Please help me....

And the energizer, freezer and such was never mentioned. I'd take it back and ask them to show you it working. I bet this one is dead.

Im From Saudi arabia it tooks about a week to arive here..:S

Let's just say that your charging methods and the freezer were unexpected to say the least. Why didn't you just setup the device and charge it like they told you to? It's now too likely the unit is dead after this abuse.

I read a post where they "wrote to the Flip feedback mail and they sent me back a note that offered to provide me with an RMA and advanced replacement." But they didn't take Flip up on the exchange.

Reading your post and posts like that make me wonder if the units are dying from abuse.

I did all what is written in the manual..
i charged it up al the night then tried it "before doing the freezer method" and the problem still..:S
to be honest its not a freezer its just a normal refrigerator and i dont think one minute will make it dead...in addition i only did this because i hought that due to the hot weather her in KSA " the temp can rise to 47C" it need to be cooler..

i have a thought that maybe the Tempreture sensor in the cam is broken or whatever..

i even contact the Flip company...with no reply until now..

Inside the range of most gear. I'm seeing a lot go to just 50C.

It looks like you can read about any reset available but I'd get it replaced as a DOA.

I had the same problem after error free use of a Flip HD for 9 months. Suddenly too hot message came on and shut down.
Others have had this issue too and is more common than you might think, do the research.
Flip said they'd fix it for a fee, so much for that.
