If you open windows explorer and select the PC's DVD drive, do you see any files or folders on the DVD? if yes please tell me which files you can see?
If you don't see any files then it maight be that you have used a DVD-RAM disk with your VDR-100 and your PC's DVD drive does not support DVD-RAM media. In that case try to put the DVD into a friends PC and hope that his PC supports DVD-RAM.

format you chose merely has us guessing... while I agree with sektionschef and Bob, have you finalized the disc in the camcorder?

The finalizing is sometimes not possible. The short list is the person borrowed the camcorder, it's broken, they lost the power supply adapter, someone sent me the DVD and the list goes on and on.

This is why I had to find a tool to deal with it.

I agree - though did not read any of that in the original post. I do not envy your moderator position, but thank you for performing the function.
