Where has it gone from?
Does it show up in explorer?
Does it show up in device manager?
Does the light come on during boot?
Does it show up in table of devices during the boot sequence?
Does it show up in your bios at boot?
First check for viruses and spyware.
Does it appear in explorer when you boot into safe mode?
Are all the ribbon cable secure?
Let us know if it shows up in any of these locations - knowing the above we can then determine if it is a hardware or software problem and the likely cause. Also tell us what version of windows?
