Hey Guys,
Yesterday my Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder hard drive failed in the middle of my son's 1st birthday party. This is a problem on many different levels. 1st I can not access any old footage including yesterday's that was on the hard drive. Second I can not take any new videos with the camcorder. Every time I turn it on the camera a small hard drive icon on camcorder just spins. When the camcorder failed it said data recovery or something like that then just shut down.
So I basically need to know if there is a cost effective way to somehow get the footage off the camera. Second, can the camera be salvaged. Third, if not what is the latest and greatest out there now. I really liked the Sony camera is there but would be willing to look at other manufactures if they came highly recommended.
Any help, comments or suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik
