HELP! Pictures changed to Videos!

by Passmore1993 / February 4, 2016 2:18 PM PST

Hi!

I've recently been changing the target locations of some user folder (documents, pictures, videos, music) and seem to have messed something up during the process.

My 'Pictures' folder is now called 'Videos' and I can't rename it back to Pictures again. This is because its a user folder or 'shell' folder I've read. Any suggestions on how to change it back?

Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

Clarification Request
I don't think it's a library.
by Passmore1993 / February 5, 2016 11:08 AM PST

I'm not sure whether its a library or not. I'm on Windows 10 and can't find a libraries section anywhere.

But when clicking on 'Computer' it comes up under 'Folder' as pictured below.

It won't let me rename it like normal folders. Type is listed as 'System Folder'

Ok
by Passmore1993 / February 5, 2016 1:11 PM PST

Ok thanks I'll try and find out how to change it to 'Pictures'. It's like it's been duplicated though. Adding a new folder to one 'Videos' folder adds it to the other 'Videos' folder too.

Answer
How are you sure it's a folder and not a library?
by orlbuckeye / February 5, 2016 4:35 AM PST

Libraries are used to show contents of multiple folders. That being said you can have multiple pictures folders just not under the same folder. 2 Libraries can't have the same name.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
