Help on History under address line...

Aug 29, 2004 12:44PM PDT

I've found some porn sites in the history of my computer. When typing in a letter on the address line, all the sites starting with that letter appear. I'm wondering if this means that someone using this computer has been on those sites or if they can include pop-ups that appear. I'm trying to find out if my kid has been on these sites or if it could be there from the pop-ups. I have had porn pop-ups but I didn't think they would come up in the address line.

I use IE 6 and the only addresses that show up in the internet cashe are ones that have been typed in. If a different browser, mentioning so might draw advice from some one with experience with your browser.

I use MSN Explorer. Not sure if it makes a difference or not.

Thanks for all the replies.

IE6 default settings for history is 20 days.

In IE6 in tool bar View -> Explorer you can open the history folder (separate window) and view all sites visted.

Not sure if auto complete feature is generated
from typing address or sites visted.
