Help on choosing a new video card- 400w power output max..:(

Im trying to play crysis on high settings.....
sooooo i need a new video card. i went out and bought a new video card (9800 GTX chyea) but i stupidly assumed that my power output would be atleast 475w, but sadly it isnt...
Does anybody know of a powerful card that would help me satisify my crysis fetish but will only require 400w max output?

Thanks, Keaton

what model power supply do you have?

a good quality 400w unit from antec, corsair, pc power & cooling, coolermaster, enermax, etc. should be able to handle a 9800gtx. if it's a no-namer or a std dell/hp, then probably not.

rather than send back the video card (especially if you have to pay a restocking fee), i'd replace the power supply with a 500w unit since any card that requires 400w or handle crysis as you wish.

The Power Supply Might Be Cheaper Than The Card...

...and if you're gaming all the time, a bigger, better PSU would certainly be worth a little extra change.

Hope this helps.
