Question

HELP!!! Olympus XZ-1 not switching on!

Apr 9, 2012 3:25AM PDT

Hey,

I have an Olympus XZ-1 which is fairly new, but recently, whilst on holiday, it failed to switch on. When i plug it into the charger, the power button flashes on and off with a blue light, at a rate of 1 second approx. It refuses to switch on, despite 'charging' it all night. I have tried other USB charges, whcih have the same effect,

any help would be great thanks,

Sam

That camera should still be under Olympus warranty (1 year).
You should call Olympus Service.

If the camera is under 1 year old, it is under Olympus warranty.

Most people fail to register the purchase of a camera by sending in the warranty card.

It is important that you call Olympus and report the problem.
1. They may know a fix for the problem.
2. Reporting the problem establishes a date for the problem, in case there is any future dispute.
3. You will be registering your camera with Olympus.

Call them.
