My husband bought me a Panasonic VDR-D200 DVD Palmcorder thinking it would be easy for me to take movies, edit them on my computer and then burn them on a DVD. I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 running Windows XP. I formatted the first disc in VR format but couldn't edit it on my computer. So I bought a DVD-Ram disc thinking I might have used the wrong type of disc but I'm still having the same problem. I can see the video but I get a message saying ''Your version of DLA can read files on this disk but you will not be able to edit them'' and then I get a message about my PBX phone line. I have a wireless laptop. I have NO IDEA what's wrong, or even what DLA is, but I've spent around 10 frustrating hours trying to figure it out. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the software that came with the camera. Still no luck. Any suggestions? I also have Adobe Premiere Elements but can't even import the video into that program.
