I have a Verizon GS4 which obviously uses microsim. I recently bought an unlocked iPhone 5 which uses nanosim. What can I do to use these phones interchangeably? I desperately need to use both for business.

Since there are adapters for the nanosim to be used in the other form, why not use one of those adapters?
There are fine tutorials on that but why not get the smaller and then the adapter? It's rather well discussed which is why I'm keeping it short.

If traveling extensively, and needing LTE/network support, you should verify which version of the iPhone 5 you have.
My suggestion is to use an adapter if possible. Your issue will be if you need to use a prepaid SIM abroad on your unlocked device, more often than not you will have to cut it down since more are still standard/micro vs nano SIMs.
