Help needed please

In my system menu all my hardware devices have been installed twice and one of the has an error (!) I tried to remove both of them but when I restart my computer it re-installs both of them and one still has the error. How can I fix this cause it is causing alot of problems

I've rarely seen that "cause" or be a cause to an issue. Its been an annoyance to people who want a clean device manager, but nothing more than that.

Such shouldn't be fixed, but the "problems" should be written about.

In short, I install the OS on a machine with current BIOS, then motherboard drivers, USB filter/driver (if there is such), video, audio and more drivers and of course IE/OE/DirectX and that usually is all that is needed.
