help needed for pc game the godfather

by bloom / April 12, 2006 8:12 PM PDT

I bought the game above game and installed it, but I get a box saying could not find dvd try again. I know this is what you get with a copy, this is NOT a copy I paid $59.95 for it.

I was told possibly the game could not read the dvd drive, so I took it to a pc shop he tried another dvd drive but it did not work, he also tried it on another PC and it worked, he suggested it might be my cpu (which is an Athlon 3000+) and it should be an intel. However on the box it states either intel or athlon. I thought it may have been Nero and I uninstalled it but still no luck, have exited firewall, and AVG antivirus. Any other things I can try.

thank you

Just a few unmentioned tools that can do it in.

Alcohol 120%, various DVD region free tools and any CD/DVD "drivers" can cause this copy protection to fail. I don't know which you installed or if a ROOTKIT is on the machine, but that's what I'd be looking for.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
