Help needed

Hi CNET

i am very new to software and inputing issues i have currently brought a complete ebook store business and have set up a domain name and hosting with domain monster i have followed the instruction on how to set up the new store name but when i try to upload the webstore files to the domain monster admin section i am getting a syntax error code 1064 on line 1 the files i am trying to download are in php format the person who sent me the store said there is a patch i can apply i have found this in the files the patch is in a compressed file but how do i apply the patch please please help somebody i have a business sitting here and i cant go any further

The only sensible thing you can do: ask that person to set it up for you. When he's done you change the password so he can't access it anymore.

Probably he'll want to be paid for it. Unless the contract to buy that store (or software, or whatever you bought) included a phrase like "including technical documentation" or "ready to setup" or "ready to run" you're practically obliged to do so, I'm afraid.

1064 code syntax error message is usually caused by a corrupted file, if you have downloaded the necessary files in the form of a compressed file, you need to open/ extract the file, then you can replace/ repair damaged files using FTP.
