Most cell phone carriers

have an email address equivalent that when a message gets sent to that address, it gets sent as a sms text message to that phone. For example, if you want to send a text message to a Sprint phone, you could send a message to PHONE@messaging.sprintpcs.com and it will be delivered to PHONE as a text message. Taking this in consideration, you can use a regular contact form to send a sms text message.

send text/SMS to offline phone when emails arrive online
by aanielsen / April 25, 2010 7:09 AM PDT

I have Gmail and Yahoo! mail and want to send a text message to my cell phone when i receive a new email, without my needing to "download" any apps to my phone. It is a Tracfone and cannot be used online, but can receive SMS from anywhere (but no pictures.) Either notification only (i.e. "you have mail") or email text body is fine, as long as it comes in as only 1 SMS page.

If anyone admin or public can help or suggest a different email server that can do this specifically for an offline Tracfone please advise. I have a throwaway Motorola (no cam, etc.)
