Question

HELP My SSD is not working With my laptop!

Please help, my dad gave me a SSD for my birthday in January and we did test's on it and everything and it does not work with my laptop. I’ve been trying to solve this for ever, we installed windows 7 on it and now when you log in it blue screens, it works for everything else but my laptop. My laptop is a lenovo thinkpad edge 0578. If you have any advice please respond this really sucks using a ubuntu flash drive for everything.

Clarification Request
Wait

I would be guessing but it sounds like you installed Windows on another PC and installed the SSD into another PC. That will bluescreen. Nothing broke there.

Install Windows to the SSD with the SSD in the laptop it must work in.

Hold On

Well I did a image clone of my old hard drive and I put it on the SSD but it does not work. Is it maybe compatibility issues with my laptop or something of that matter, Should I look for drivers to fix it or what?

Seems fine.

I'd clone again. I can't guess your clone software but here I use an Apricom USB kit and found that sometimes I have to try a second time and clone from the external to the internal.

Try this it's free
http://www.backup-utility.com/download-iso.html

Burn the iso to a disc and boot it up.
Select clone and then the input and output device, don't forget to put a tick in align partitions.

How much data is on this hdd and how big is the ssd?

Thank you all

Thank you guys for your help! Sadly it was a false positive test it messed up and said that it passed. We did try to reinstall windows and it blue screened while it was setting up the user account. We are trying to contact OCZ warranty service to see if we can get it replaced. Once again thank you all for the help and your concern.
