Did you try using System Restore?
If System Restore does not work try this
Unplug the printer from the USB cable.
Go to the control panel and remove your printer.
Restart your computer.
Put in the installation disk for the printer and follow the instructions. It may ask you to check to see if the cables are connected properly. At that time plug in the USB cable to the printer.
After installation is complete and you printed the test page and corrected the settings, restart your computer.
The problem should be gone.
Hope this helps.

Okay first off
Windows xp sp2
lexmark x1100 printer
So one day I just try and print something and it says it could not connnect with the printer so I thought that is weird because just yesterday I was printing. So I check if everything is connected it is. Then I try and switch the usb cable, still nothing is connected, then I try switching the usb drive, still nothing.
So I try and reinstall the drivers but then I get this message
16 bit Windows Sbusystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ATUOEXECT.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Mircrosoft Windows applications. CHoose 'Close to terminate the application.
So I try and get the new drivers from the website the same thing happens.
Please help me out.
Thanks in advance.
