I have d/l nero 6 including vision express 3 and mpeg/dvd plug in. when i try to burn a dvd from files on my harddrive something very strange happens. I go to make comp page and when i add my video files nero shuts down and then reopens at the sure start page. i am lost as to what to do.

Not sure about the source of these videos, so. Run the avi's thru virtualdub and see what it says. Run the mpgs thru virtualdubmpg2 for reports. Timestamps and bad joins can be automatically repaired per vdub.

Release build -- 1.5.10 (stable)
http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

after loading, if dub shows there is a video error, go into video and audio and select direct stream copy and save. Then try nero.

Reports continue that this doesn't work well. Try other software.

DVDSanta, many Ulead products and Virtual Dub if the source video was oddly encoded.

Best of luck,
