You may have to reload the machine from the supplied CDs and see if Office shows up. For most they discover some friend loaded it and neither HP or MS can hand you Office in that case.
If your reciept/paperwork/other stuff doesn't show Office then it's time to find a solution rather than waste time with HP or MS.
For me that means Open Office.

I would like to ask a question for some advice. It is about a HP Pavilion zv6000 Notebook, the programs MS Office Home Standard Edition and Photogallery. I bought it about a year and a half ago and I have recently gone back to school for networking to better myself and my career. On of the classes Micro computer application required me to load MS Office Professional Teacher/Student Edition because my Access wasn't compatable and I asked it not to replace my current version which it didn't until last week, my photogallery, I still don't know what happened to it. Both programs now instantly start windows installer and then ask for the product key and when I bought my computer my program is authentic now it says it needs to be authenticated. I bought this computer new in Sept. 2005, I also have every piece of paper that came with it. Anyway, I spoke to Microsoft and they said that HP should have given me the disks for all of the programs and I only have 1 for the inter video. I've called HP and they said I never bought MS Office even though they installed it (this is the message they left me this morning). From my receipt it says I bought Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with SP2. It seems HP isn't going to help me and I don't know what to do. I don't feel like I should have to pay for Office and Photogallery again. Any suggestions? I do know that these are just suggestions by the way.
