Windows 7 Enterprise.
Yup, I'm running into pirate downloads of that and many are turning up to be infected or preinstalled with torrent and other infections. There's also the trouble that a fresh install of Windows will over its first week chew up about a gigabyte of updates from Microsoft alone.
That 12GB sounds like the old Torrent or infection issue.
Hi guys, recently my Dad told me that all of our internet had been used up (100GB, which gets updated each month) in less than a month, which doesnt usually happen, so we bought some more to last the rest of the month until it updated. I then downloaded this app on my computer called "NetWorx" to track my internet usage on my computer (so I couldnt be blamed for all the internet disappearing). And this morning when I opened the app on my computer I found out that I had apparantly downloaded 12.1GB and uploaded 12GB between 3-4am and downloaded another 12GB and uploaded 12GB between 7-8am, periods of time when I wasnt even awake and using my computer! I fell asleep that night with my computer on (but it went into sleep mode after a period of time from not using it) and the only thing open was a Youtube video that only went for 10 minutes. Is it possible that I'm being hacked? Or do I maybe have a virus that's eating away my internet? Or does leaving Youtube open eat away internet? Any help would be great. Thanks
My computer is a 2009 Macbook Laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise.
