Clarification Request
What version of Firefox do you have?
Jan 18, 2015 12:51AM PST

The most current version today is 35, is that what you have? I've been running Firefox since about version 2, and it's working fine for me. Are you getting any error messages? I did notice that with Pandora it started telling me I needed to update the flash player, then finally found an "Allow" button in the upper right corner of the window that I had to click on. Do Internet Explorer and Chrome work? I'm wondering if you might have some kind of malware, but try the reset advice first. You might also need to clear your cookies and browser cache.

Good luck.

In my case, internet stop to a walk. I was sure if it was a virus or it was just Google (default page). Anyway, I just reinstall linux and not update FF. Yeah I think there are just too much crap floating in cyber space. I guess we have to take the bad with good...but it's annoying sometime.

working now
Jan 19, 2015 7:51AM PST

I want to thank all who gave me advice and say I finally got Firefox to work although not without trouble. I was running 35, when I would go to the 'about' window it would show it was searching for updates. No way to cancel it out. Tried refresh. Tried uninstall 4 times making sure there were no open windows. Finally had to go to restore on my comp and reinstall Mozilla. It now works, but the one reason I needed it back was for my 'favorites' list. For some reason it deleted everything which was what I was trying to save. Anyway, as I said I am grateful for all the advice. For someone who isn't the most tech savvy, I am glad I can come here and ask for support when needed. Thanks again.
