HELP MEEEE!

when I turn on puter I get an error that says "windows could not upgrade the file 1% from 2%, windows could not upgrade one or more files before starting" on a black screen. Everytime I try to get onto AOL I get booted off several times before getting onto a very unstable AOL server. I have to be careful clicking certain AOL buttons or my puter crashes. What the hecks going on!? Please help!

this is a known issue with Norton Antivirus after updating. The wininit.exe file is corrupt. Go to
norton.com, using the search bar type in 1% to 2%
this will give you the webpage with directions on how to fix this problem.
