Have you tried doing a system restore to a time when it worked properly?

Nakatazhau,

Go into Windows Explorer and find all occurrences of a file called normal.dot
Then delete them all.

If that doesn't help, tell more about the problem. You go into Word, choose File>Open, browse to a .doc document, click Open in the dialog window, and then ...
Then also tell your OS and the version of MS Word.

It most unlikely your problem is related to installing IE6. So a system restore isn't the first thing to try, in my opinion.

And did you note the name of the forum 2 lines below this one? That's a better place for MS Word questions.

Hope this helps,

Kees
