Sep 2, 2018 1:24AM PDT

Hi Guys.
I use a motherboard Gigabyte 67A-UD3R

After installing the i3-3220, the system did not image and was restarted.
This is the BIOS version of this F7 motherboard that is installed on my motherboard.

Is it possible to use the Gigabyte P67A-UD3R-B3 V1.1 motherboard from F7 or F8 without a problem for my motherboard?

Pleas Help Me

You have a p67a-udr3 mobo.

You installed an i3 3220 and it does not work.

That makes sense..... look at the link that Kees gave.

It shows the supported cpu's.

You can't use a bios from a different mobo.

Get a supported cpu for the mobo you have or get a mobo that supports the new cpu.

Well, that site says it does. Indeed.
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-P67A-UD3R-rev-11#support-cpu says it doesn't.

If you believe the first, then try. You might need a BIOS update. Try that then also. Use the latest update Gigrabyte released for your motherboard (not for another one, like the UD3R-B3). Anything else might brick it, and then you have no motherboard at all.

Or if you believe the second, don't try.

Why do you want to upgrade the CPU on such an old PC?

Might be saying the hardware will support your cpu but the mobo maker never released a bios to support it.

I can only go by what gigabyte has posted on their web site.

Contact gigabyte and ask them.
