The best place for the Ethernet driver are the disks that came with the laptop.
The second best place is the site of the maker.
If no luck, you can try a 'driver search' program, but most aren't free and success isn't guaranteed.
I have a MicronPC TransPort GX Laptop I got years ago online with no charger, Everything Pulled Out Of It, and the screen was broken. I have repaired everything on it. I can't believe I was able to repair everything on it.
All that is left is Ethernet Driver. How do I find which driver I need?
I put Windows XP Professional on it. I don't know if there is a way to examine the hardware that Windows detected, but was unable to install drivers for it.
