- First thing to do: find out what the max amount of RAM for that machine is (see the specs) and how much and what sticks you have now.
- If RAM still can be added, buy the right amount of the right sticks of RAM. The memory finder at cruciall.com is a big help for both this and the previous step.
- Open the case (see the maintenance manual about how to that to add RAM)
- Insert the RAM (and if necessary, remove old sticks that are no longer needed).
