Help me find out what parts are compatible with my rig!

I want to give my computer a complete upgrade soon and i wanna start looking at parts that i can put into my computer. However i don't know what compatible with my rig. My rig spec are (http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/gateway-gt5692/4507-3118_7-33138847.html) Could someone help me and show me what parts are compatible with my computer so i know what to buy? Help would be greatly appreciated.

We find that buying a new PC is preferable above a "complete upgrade". It's cheaper, more reliable and you get longer warranty.

But maybe a "partial update" would make sense. But to advise on that we would need to know which parts of it you find insufficient for your current needs.

I do understand that buying a new computer would probably be the best idea but this is also a learning experence for me. I want to know how to distinguish what part would fit my computer. If anyone could help me that would be awesome.

Only buy from folk and companies that answer your questions. If they don't then you move on.
