Feb 6, 2010 1:44AM PST

I want to buy a new desktop but I am having a hard time choosing one.
You see I'm a little confused with the new Intel i3, i5, and i7 processors.

Anyway, between these computers which one do you recomend?

Motherboard Chipset Intel P55
Windows 7 Home Premium
RAM: 2 GB DDR3 (1333 MHz)

HD: 1 TB - SATA II (7200 rpm)
Buffer Protection 64 MB

nVidia GT240 (1024 MB)

PRICE: 520 Euros

Intel Core i5 750 - 2.66 GHz
Motherboard Chipset Intel P55
Windows 7 Home Premium
RAM: 2 GB DDR3 (1333 MHz)

HD: 500 GB - SATA II (7200 rpm)
Buffer Protection 16 MB

nVidia GT220 (1024 MB)

PRICE: 590 Euros

Intel Core 2 Quad - 2.50 GHz

choosing the right computer

is best if you (and we) know what you'll be using the computer for (perhaps writing down a list will narrow your search), and your budget.

The next thing you can do is a little research yourself to compare the (older) quad-core processors and the new lineup of Intel processors, you can start here:
http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/processors/index.htm?iid=gg_play+learn_processors

Next research the latest video cards:
http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5000.aspx
http://www.nvidia.com/page/desktop.html

When you've done this come'on back and we'll see if we can help further
