Help me choose Bluetooth phone!

Sep 26, 2004 9:34AM PDT

OK so our contract with Sprint has just ended, and my husband and I want to get new phones w/ Bluetooth so we can take advantage of the Bluetooth feature in our new Toyota Prius. I know that Sprint doesn't have one, so we were thinking of getting the V600. But now they've been recalled? Here is what we want:
-Good resolution camera
-Video camera would be nice
-Must have Bluetooth
-Polyphonic ringers (I think all phones have this now)

I would appreciate any advice you all can give. As far as provider goes, we'd probably like to go with Cingluar. We live in Northern Virginia, and AT&T doesn't have the best signal strength out here.

Thanks in advance!! :-D

Hi I have read your interest in Bluetooth phones and let me tell you that the Motorola V600 although is a nice stylish phone it has problems. For one thing the phone has a feature that allows you to either flip to answer or not if you have this feature disabled and go to answer the call the phone gets stuck and more than likely you will miss that call. To be honest I recommend NOKIA for any bluetooth device that you wish to purchase just because NOKIA made the technology and is better to help when it comes to problems with it. Just so you know new models of cell phones tend to come out about 4 times a year I would recommend that you wait till about thanksgiving time to do shopping on a phone just because they tend to give better deals and lower prices. NOKIA is planning on releasing new phones in the coming months so hang in there.

I've heard an upgrade to the V600 is coming/came out.
the V620, it's black, and it has video capture. I wonder if they fixed this bug.
I currently have a Nokia3650 it works great, but sometimes it reboots by itself, or even turn off, maybe once every 2 months.

I think the v600 will do everything you want. If you use a mac isync only works with a usb cable, but everything else bluetooth seems to work. I'm in the process of setting up my Jabra bt200 headset.

The best thing (t-mobile) is I was able to use the phone as a modem, via bluetooth.
