Help me change my graphic card !

Hello all..
Like the title says,I want to change my graphic card,I currently have an intel pentium 4,1GB RAM,256MB NVIDIA fx5500,3GHZ (processor)
Please tell me what are compatible graphic cards that will work fine with my configuration (note that I may be considering moving to windows 7 soon) and I sometimes play games and stuff,and I edit and watch videos alot,thanks for your answers !

Don't do this.

This machine is best left where it is. It's a single core CPU, and you would be unhappy no matter what the card or other upgrade.

Don't upgrade and save your money for the next machine.

But I'm sure im not buying a new comp,and I'll have to use this one for the next 2 years..can't you tell me whats the highest graphic card I could get for my pc ? thanks

You haven't provided sufficient detail regarding any of the items identified above to make any recommendation.

Hi,thanks for the reply,for the power supply,its 350 watts and for the budget it doesnt matter as i'm not a us resident,and for the architecture I dont know what you mean =/

I don't know what you have in your country for AGP VIDEO CARDS. This machine's single core CPU has me dismiss the ATI line so what can you find that is for:

1. AGP
2. Runs on 300 Watt power supplies?

I know you wrote 350 but since the machine is old we must de-rate that power supply. It's because the electrolytic capacitors age that we must knock off some Watts.
