Hi : I too got a broadband connection, albeit after 10 month long wait. The techies (?) from BSNL came and installed the ADSL modem and "configured" my Acer Aspire laptop with Win XP Prof. and when they saw there was a desktop nearby, told me that I can connect that system too, with a router and can use the laptop within 10 mtrs of the modem, wirelessly.
The wireless connection works ok but with some delays but I cannot upload mails from the MS Outlook. All my efforts at calling the customer support numbers have not yielded any result. Everytime they took my mobile number saying that someone will call back within hours. No days have passed since the connection on July 31. I also have a vsnl id which I use with MS Outlook. Some say there is some SMTP server address need to be changed but neither BSNL not VSNL is helpful.
Any thoughts or solutions ?
