Help, Lost my great Sanyo 4900...what's the next best!!???

by vox1 / August 19, 2006 7:26 AM PDT

Hi i've been living with Sprint in my area for several
years just 'cuz i use one for brief business voicemail
and callbacks, and don't need more than the basics.

I've managed to keep 450 daytime mins/monthly for $30/mo.
due to their "retention" deals so i've been off-contract
for years.

Having just had a reliable Sanyo 4900 stolen (or lost),
I need to substitute something that has at least as good
a reception/signal strength and voice-clarity. I don't
need frills...Just voice, ideally including speakerphone.

I've been led to feel Sanyo is best for Sprint Network service. The 4900 did seem to have superior signal strength, another critical element for me, as well as
a good mic clarity (i am in the broadcasting biz so
it's a big deal to have optimum voice quality - sometimes there are occasions i need to use it for
on-air situations).

Bottom line...i want a cheap replacement but something at least as good.. There are a fair amount of old reviews on the successor "4920" but one sour one that
suggested signal strength on the 4920 wasn't as good
as the 4900.. ((otherwise i was just about sold on
picking up a 4920 on ebay)

Cutting to the chase...any solid recommendations for a
contemporary (or same-era) replacement...ideally via
ebay or otherwise used/refurb....and under $100 bucks?

Thanks VERY much for any hints...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
