Help, laptop won't boot in windows

by TwoHan / July 4, 2014 1:00 AM PDT

So I'll start at the beginning:

Last month, I installed a theme UX pack and I didn't like it so I deleted it. I had to restart it to go back to normal windows. But I couldn't because the BOOT.img was missing. That was when I had a legal version of windows 7. No problem, I installed windows 8 (180 days trial). (I could have better installed windows 7 back, because I found the product key a week later..)

Till yesterday it was going great: just doing some work on it, watching youtube videos, playing games,... So nothing illegal or something that could harm my laptop. I still had a couple of weeks on windows 8 and then I would have bought the key. But for now I was good.

Untill yesterday. Yesterday, my laptop was a bit buggy and lagging, it normally runs smooth. I didn't download anything or did anything except some youtube and facebook, the usual. Then out of the blue, when I was going through Facebook, my screen went black and a blue screen with a sad smiley came up. I get a blue screen advising that the computer ran into a problem and has to restart. it states it is a kernel data inpage error. It said it was going to reboot itself. I just waited. when It booted back up, the windows 8 logo came up with underneath the white spinning wheel (like normal). After a solid 2 min. A blue screen pops up with the smiley face saying it's collecting info about the errors and that it will restart. It comes up for about a second and then the laptop restarts and the windows 8 logo comes up with underneath it saying: Preparing automatic repair. It's like that again for a solid 2 min. And then just a black screen.

I tried rapairing using the win8 disc, but it doesn't boot it. Neither with the windows 7 or ubuntu 14. I tried this on an other laptop and the discs work on that laptop. Same with the USB. I however still can get into the BIOS.

I think it can be a RAM or HDD issue...

INFO about my computer:

sony vaio sve1711b4e
Ram: 6144 MB
HDD: 500 GB
2.33 GHZ
Intel pentium
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000

Thanks in advance
