sonny,
I would recommend getting the unit repaired. It does have a 1-year warranty, so I'd definitely recommend getting the unit inspected. You may also consider working with the store management if you'd like to exchange it; often times, department managers are willing to offer some assistance in that area as well.
I would not consider that symptom normal, especially if it happens on all inputs.
I believe most retailers offer a 14 or 30 day return policy. I would find out what that is, and make the best decision for your situation.
Keep me posted.

9 days ago & the TV makes a popping noise that lasts for about 10 - 15 seconds - noise can be heard even if the tv has the sound muted.
TV was $799.00 - 10% at Sears = a sweet deal - problem is Sears doesn't have another 5330 or the 550 series in the state. Tv gets a very nice picture, but that noise sounds like trouble later, like when the 1 year warranty runs out.
So can anyone shed light on this noise - that comes from (facing the Tv)
the bottom right rear area
thanks to all
sonny
