Two idead. Dump Norton and try ZoneAlarm and Free AVG. Better, same?
On the internet, many will use just Internet Explorer and catch all sorts of SPYWARE. Since these are not a virus and Norton is just getting into the game, you have to defend yourself. Try the usual adaware, spybot to eject the common pests and then use Firefox for most browsing, falling back to IE for the occasional site that doesn't work. Better or same?
I recently bought an Acer Travelmete 735TLV from work to use for uni.
Recently, i have been having some problems when i run a system scan. I am using Norton Antivirus, in Windows XP. The computer will start the scan, but freezes after a few seconds.
I have scanned each directory separately and the computer in safe mode and it says that there is no viruses etc.
The computer also sometimes freezes while i am using the internet, but will unfreeze after about 30 seconds, and since this has begun, my printer has started acting funny. I have tried using a different printer, but it still acts funny.
When it freezes, i have to turn the computer off and then on again, as Ctrl+Alt+Del does not work. This is very frustrating and make the computer hard to use.
HELP! I am only beginning to learn about this computer, and dont understand why it is doing this!!
