From hardware to a bum install of Windows. Today it's not so easy to install Windows. That is, Windows itself is a snap to install but all the drivers to get it all working can task even the seasoned installer as times have changed. I find myself going down my cheat sheet to be sure I got it right.
And again, no, the driver update driver is not to be used or trusted.

My computer keeps "freezing" while playing audio. I call it "freezing" because whatever program is running (youtube, music cds, video games) continues onscreen unabated, but my mouse and keyboard inputs don't work (no ctrl+alt+del or alt+tab). The pseudo crash is always preceded by the sound distorting and becoming fuzzy. I'm asking this because I got a Sabertooth 990FX/Gen 3 R2.0 motherboard refurbished and want to know if anyone recognizes this as a hardware issue. Should I be trying to send it back?
