Machine details and OS matter.

One day when I booted up my laptop I couldn’t connect to the internet and when I tried to connect to it, the internet settings disappeared. Please note I’m not tech savvy and don’t know what to do.

My system model is an HP 15 Notebook PC, the OS is Windows 10 Home. The processor is an Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3540 @ 2.16GHz, 2159 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor. And it’s a 64-bit. If you need more information just tell.
For starters, I'd reboot PC and router. I sometimes get this and a reboot fixes it.
