I just searched "cheap Chinese mp3 player"

...in my search engine and eventually came across what appears to be the same player.

The reason why I did that was because it is a no name brand player that I've never seen on store shelves. That screams "cheap Chinese mp3 player." And I couldn't find the price of this on this website. Apparently you have to log in in order to add it to your cart. Anyway given that it is only 1GB, doesn't play video or have an expansion slot I wouldn't pay more than $25 with shipping and I'm being generous. I don't know what your budget is, but you can get decent name brand players from your local Best Buy, WalMart, and Target from about $40 on. If you have a Fry's nearby, you can also look at some cheap Chinese mp3 players up close and personal.

I would be dubious of the quality. I don't know about this particular player, but I have friends who bought from sites such as this one as well as eBay. They purchased Chinese knockoffs of some popular players such as the iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and some of the Samsung players. They were cheap but the build quality wasn't very good. They did what they advertised - play music, display photos - but the interface sucked. But, you get what you pay for.

I don't mean to knock the Chinese. Heck, they manufacture much of our name-branded products, such as the aforementioned iPod products. But these are not the same products at all, even when they look like them.

Best of luck to you.
