No, I have not personally solved this one but reading from https://www.google.com/search?q=CONTROLLER+NOT+SET+FOR+OPERATING+IN+AHCI+MODE+AHCI+BIOS+NOT+INSTALLED&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 finds folk that did.

Hello All,
Hopefully i have posted this in the right place.
I have a IBM IntelliStation Z Pro PC/Server that i've had for a couple of years. I use it for my Cisco Lab running Windows 7/VM Ware workstation etc ect.
Its been running without issue for a couple of years. However just before xmas i tried to boot up as i would normally and got the error in the screen shots below.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3b4rxkg9jo6zip8/AAB-kyOokGvY...
CONTROLLER NOT SET FOR OPERATING IN AHCI MODE
AHCI BIOS NOT INSTALLED
I have tried to access Setup mode F2 and change configuration mode F12 . It recognises the key press then just sits there at a IBM Splashscreen.
Nothing has changed on the PC, there were some window update when it worked last but other than that nothing.
Any help advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Jon
