I could not find any professional review information on the HP-M407. I guess it is too new on the market.
The Panasonic LC70 is a good choice. I especially like the Leica lens it has.

Since you mentioned "quick picture taking", the LC70 shutter lag is 8 tenths of a second (0.
. Considered average for digital cameras.
So I think you should look at the Sony P73 which is comparable to the Panasonic. The shutter lag for the P73 is 4 tenths of a second (0.4). Considered fast for digital cameras.

Samples pictures show that photo quality for these two cameras to be practically identical.
Kodak cameras: The more advanced photographers have ignored the Kodak cameras for various reasons. Kodak has always produced easy to use cameras.
But they are now getting into more advanced cameras and producing some very good cameras. They are now using the Schneider lenses on some of the newer cameras, which is good.

I need to choose a digital camera ASAP and I am finding it hard to narrow down my choice. I originally wanted to go with Kodak b.c I was told the pictures comes out great with no red eye. Then again I thought about the new HP-M407 but found out that it did not have a direct to TV input/output. How important is the direct to tv input/ouput feature? Is it something that I should always consider when shopping or not? Is the panasonic (DMC-LC70) good?
These are some of the qualites that are most important to me; 1) quick picture taking (not waiting long take multiple shots)
2) ease of use (on and off)
3) Clear and bright pictures(no fussy background)
4) Good for taking pictures like those on Ebay
5) Good battery life
I really wanted a kodak but after reading several reviews on this board, I noticed that it is not a popular brand. Is it bad and why do people prefer cannon & nikon?
I can't think of any other features right now but want something good.
Thanks
