On a ZuneHD you can make a playlist "on the go" by simply typing a letter after you touch the keyboard icon that shows on the Now Playing screen. In other words, artists, albums of individual songs are added to the Now Playing queue which can be turned into a playlist by naming it.
However, on the ZuneHD you cannot delete or move songs around on a playlist or on the Now Playing screen, You can add songs to the end of a playlist by first putting that playlist in Now Playing and adding additional songs to Now Playing which show up at the end of the list.,then touch the keyboard icon to type in the name. It seems odd, but you can have 2 playlists with the same name if you want to use the same playlist name for the larger playlist.. The main "list of playlists"- it's really not confusing when you are looking at it directly instead of reading about it-will show you how many items are in each playlist. You CAN delete entire playlists by doing a long press on the playlist name and selecting delete.
I do wish they would improve the ability to edit playlists on the fly.
Hello! I am in the market for a new Mp3 player. My first one was a Phillips and I brought it just because. I am now a group exercise instructor and my music selection is growing out of control so much that my lil Phillips is just about to blow! Not only do I need more space, but I am looking for one which has a feature where I can make playlists. I know that the Zune and the Ipod have features where you can make them on your computer and then sync them, but I need something where I can easily (on the go) maybe take a song out and then add one in its place without having to delete the entire playlist and then do it again. The 2 I am looking at are the Zune and the Sony...does anyone know, can you do that on those? What's a good quality one where that function is possible? I'm just looking for something simple and not necessarily cheap, but not Apple and I don't need alot of apps and technical stuff. I just need to download music, make playlists (on the computer and on the go) and teach! Thank you so much in advance!
