by yamus04 / October 17, 2006 5:41 AM PDT

Yesterday I was playing around with my computer and i went to run and typed in "msconfig" so i could make my bootup faster on the comp. Well i kinda messed up and hit diagonstic startup and my comp now has like the windows classic toolbar and stuff. And it wont show my internet symbol on the way right toolbar and i have no idea how to fix it. I tried to restore but my comp wont let me restore to an earlier date. Please help! Thanks a lot!

Did You Try??
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / October 17, 2006 5:46 AM PDT

..changing it back to the "Normal Startup" in "msconfig". Click on Start-Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotes), click on OK, then place a CHECK mark in the "Normal Startup" box. Click on Apply, then OK and restart the computer..

Hope this helps.

.... use the F8 key upon reboot and choose the option 'Last Known Good Configuration', then press Enter and see whether it helps?
