Help I lost my colors? what do I do to fix it?

Help, Please I have lost the reds, greens, yellows in my computer. Don't know what happened.

Windows 95 Laptop?

You've given us NO information about the computer at all. Laptop or desktop? Operating system? Make and model? Tried doing something already to fix the issue? (If you haven't tried reinstalling the graphics driver, give it a try first.)

If the computer is a desktop, try swapping in a known "good" monitor to see if the current monitor is at fault. If the second monitor works fine, then you know the culprit..

If the computer is a laptop, try plugging in a known "good" secondary monitor and see if it displays correctly. If so, then you know the primary display needs to be fixed.

Sorry new at this. It is a desk top COMPAQ, OS is Windows XP Home.Did try swaping out to different monitor. same thing happened.

I don't know how to reinstall graphic drivers. Don't know where to look for them. Someone told me to dump my computer and reload everything, but if I don't have to do this that would be a great help.

Might be on the driver CD that came with your Compaq, or on their site. If you now what graphic card you have, most probably you can download it from the manufacturers site (like ATI or Nvidia) also.

But if another monitor does the same, and your monitor works correctly in another PC, I suspect a hardware issue. If you find it difficult to reload the drivers, try replacing the video card.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
