[Help] i got this error :-1639

on some pograms when i try to install them, this error ocurs just before the instalation, error 1639 "Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help."
I`m using windows XP sp2 right now
and does anyone know any patch or something like that that could help me get out of this!

i tried that but it said to me that i dont need the update cause i already have the service pack with a newer one,
if it could be able to install it anyway,
however if someone had this problem before please help me./
