Help...have I wasted money???

I bought my son a Sandisk Sansa Clip MP3 player and an iTunes Gift Card to put music on the player. I have downloaded 2 songs for him and are now having problems getting the player to load them. Am I just not loading them right, or is it the case that the MP3 player and the iTunes Apple/Mac formats (M4P) aren't compatible? I am trying to do all this from my Gateway Windows Vista version PC.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
