If XP didn't install proper, then the problesm may just beginning. I'd install XP proper rather than waste time on a bum install.

Ok, recently i wiped my HD just to get rid of the enormous amount of junk on my computer. While reinstalling Windows XP i ran into a small snag. The computer couldn't read 1 file, called Aviclp, or something to that effect. I didn't think it was a big deal and just chose to skip the file. Eventually i got everything back up and running but whenever i try to play any sort of video file, I can hear the movie playing but no visualization appears. I have the codecs installed, that i'm positive. My graphics card installation went off without a hitch as well so i'm pretty sure it's not that either. Is there a chance that that one file i skipped during installation is causing this? Reinstalling the OS doesn't seem to be the solution since i'll probably run into the same problem trying to reinstall the file. Pls help
