Help: Fujitsu Siemens notebook - mouse is not working

Jul 12, 2006 8:25PM PDT

My mom have a Fujitsu Siemens notebook (pretty old model, 2001y. I guess) and a few days ago she wanted to use a real mouse, not the one that is integrated in the notebook. So she tryed to attach a mouse from my desk PC and now the "mouse" that is integrated in the notebook is not working. What should I do, to fix it? There are 5 "Recovery CD-ROM"s that came with the notebook, should I use them? Are there any drivers that can help fixing that problem?

(excuse bad English, if any)

No touchpad drivers there...
Jul 13, 2006 11:36PM PDT

I didn't know it's called "touchpad", thank you. But I couldn't find any drivers there. Notebook/B Series/B2130 and... nothing. There are Touch Screen drivers, and I installed them, but I guess they've been only for the Pen. In Control Panel, on Mouse settings I find Fujitsu Touch Panel and HID-compliant mouse. When I updated the FTP driver I couldn't use the Pen on the screen, so I rolled them back (it started to work again). But I've no idea what's that HID-compliant mouse. I couldn't find helpful information searching Google too. I noticed, that the Fujitsu Touch Panel has no options for enable/disable this device. Any hints?

HID-Compliant mouse is the external mouse

HID stands for Human Interface Device, such as a keyboard or mouse.

As for the problem, I didn't find any fixes on the Fujitsu site. Does the touchpad still work when you unplug the mouse?
