You did not give the model of the camera.
Yashica made many models
The day of the film camera has about gone.
They have little value any more.
Not worth fixing.
If you search the Internet you will likely find a working model like your camera for less than $50.
Any repair will cost more than that.

Hi, I'm an amateur photographer and my mom recently passed her 1970s Yashica down to me because she knows I like old stuff. There were some things that aren't working on the camera. Things that I don't even know the name of, but one of the things is that it doesn't show the number of frames I have left on the top. I just have to sort of keep track of it and the little up and down knob on the front doesn't really stay in place. I got around to buying some film and I used a full roll and got them developed and they showed up alright I guess. A lot of light leaks on some photos and a few were totally just not even there, just blackness, but the rest were good. So I went on to use two more rolls and when I went to get them developed they were BOTH full of just blackness and light leaks???? I am so confused and I really don't know what to do. I'm super sad about this. And also, where you rewind the film back, the numbers on that dial, do they mean something significant that may keep my pictures from turning out? If there's any more information I need to give you to help further understand, I will gladly do so. Thanks so much.
