DLNA is like that. It causes a lot of posts like this. I see most have to re-encode content and work around what doesn't work.
So far I have seen ZERO movement to fix what does not work.
Hello, I am having difficulty with some video streaming from a DNLA media server. I recently purchased an LG plazma 60PK750 and hooked it up to a media server (via ethernet). I can stream most videos from the server just fine. However, some video files will start playing but then stop within a few minutes. Not all videos do this but the ones that do stop, do it every time at the same point. Though each video has a different stop point. For instance Star Wars I always stops during the opening text anout 30 seconds in but Star Wars II always stops during the first scene about 2 minutes in. I have another TV/media server setup that will play these videos just fine. I have not found a common denominator like file type, encoding, or size. Any idea what might be happening here?
